OpenDA 1.0 available

On may 10. the release was announced of version 1.0 of OpenDA, an open source toolbox for data-assimilation and calibration. The toolbox offers a range of software components that allow quick implementation of data-assimilation and automatic calibration for existing models. OpenDA can be used with models for which source code is available as well as with closed source models (usually third party models). As data-assimilation methods tend to require much computing power, relevant components in OpenDA have been parallellised.

OpenDA implementations have shown that it is possible to get a working data-assimilation functionality in no more than five to ten days.
