The first masterclass scientific software engineering that was organized by VORtech was quickly overbooked and the reactions from the participants were positive or even downright enthousiastic. A brief report with photo's from the masterclass is available here.

Obviously, there are reasons enough for a rerun of the masterclass before long. On September 8, 2011 will be the next chance to learn in a single day the do's and don't of developing scientific software.
